A number of "new" news investigation groups have suddenly been announced. They say that they intend to investigate and expose Silicon Valley yet they are financed and staffed by Silicon Valley money.
Pierre Omidyar is part of some of them. He owns Ebay and Gawker Media loves to rig politics in multiple nations. Don't expect too much from anything he is involved in. Others get cash from deeply political billionaires. Don't expect anything but cover-ups from those outfits.
